Toyota is Japenese
Solara as been designed and build (Gen2) in USA
Gen 1 were made in Canada (at least a big part of it)

BTW, what was your problem with the ride ??
Which brand you'll take when you'll drop your car ?

Welcome in SG !!

He must be an American like you...I mean (I think) he never lived in Japan. Toyota is a well known Japanese company but if he starts being curious about cars...maybe it's more why he wasn't sure about Toyota roots.

i will post pics as soon as i get them on my laptop. i am full blooded first generation japanese but solaras do not exist in japan. Im going with the Tein SS coilovers and im still deciding on rims. Works or Volks and of course 19's.

problems i had with my solara.
- i have a slight left drift problem
-right head light condensates in the morning
-stupid tire pressure light never goes off.
-sunroof squeaks when i open it.

Nothin major but little problems here and there.

thanks for the warm welcome everyone. :P

Well first off welcome to SG.org.

The slight left drift problem is: your front alignment might be off.
The right headlight condensates is: from your headlight sealant peelin' off.
Tire pressure sensor: is from one of your tires not inflated right.
Sunroof squeaks is: i have no idea.

Irasshaimase! Welcome to SolaraGuy!

With cars these days, who knows where they're built. Toyota Camrys are made in Kentucky and Chevy Avalanche pickups are made in Mexico. The Pontiac GTO was made in Australia. Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai, Nissan, MercedesBenz and BMW all have production plants in North America. Nothing is ever as it seems. LOL So I find your question to be very accurate.

We have several Japanese members. I think SolaraGuy is very well represented by every ethnic culture which makes this such an interesting online community. We're glad to have you on board. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any questions.
