Thus i remove the drive by wire and have good old cable. Theres a setback w/ the ecu as i got one w/ an immobilizer and i got no keys :( Im still worried how the ecu will react to the .3 more discplacement so i may have get a stand alone or a piggyback. I plan to get regrounded cams and a camcon by the end of summer.

Hmm, I wasn't aware the '04 Sienna or '00 Avalon had immobilizers in the keys. I had an '00 Avalon and didn't remember that. Is this an option? Is there an ECU without the immobilizer?

Good luck with the cams. The VVT-i cams are pretty efficient from what I understand. You probably should try the Camcon first then look to custom grinds.

Well, get a set of immobilizer-equipped keys, then have the ECU flashed to accept them. My car came delievered with only a valet key, but since CarMax has an offer to give each car 2 keys and a remote (if equipped), they had to send it in for about a week (but I was given 2 master keys and the valet back).

the ecu isn't flashable via toyota scantool and from what i've seen it would cost 300+ to reprogram it w/ 2 keys. the ecu is worth like 1/2 of that...

but there is some good new though. the ebay seller whom i bought it for has the keys. now i have to wait again

Ok i got my new ecu and the car starts, yay but now i have 2 limping codes stopping me from having my way w/ the car
P0758 - Shift Solenoid B Electrical
P0773 - Shift Solenoid E Electrical

using 5 and 10 ohm 25 watt resistors it shouldn't give me any of this... :(

the sad thing is they never offered m/t for any vvti v6 not for the 00 avalon & camry or 98 es300 & rx300.
I don't see much problem putting a 5vz but that engine isn't setup for transverse. so most likely you'll do what every mr2 guy did and play w/ the radiator pipes
