I doubt it, but I'm not positive. Why would you need to remove it? (just curious)

Hmm... NOW I wonder why you asked me to help with some "business" last week... J/K I don't think so either, but some new law needed it to be done in case a kid plays hide-and-seek in your trunk and wind up dead from a heat stroke, or an effective way to jump out of a car if you're kidnapped.

I must be the official "SG Fossil" here. I got my license in 1975, but was driving the farm truck and tractors since 1970. Why don't I feel that old? I like a lot of the same music my kids listen to for goodness sakes!

Ummmm..... I think I'm an older 'fossil' - got my license in '67 in NJ... but age is all in your head, right?

I claim "SG Fossil Staus Award" license 1963. Back in my day only dead things went in trunk, but sometimes they did wake up.

When I lock the card with the FOB there are TWO security lights that flash. One on the dash (typical of Toyotas) and one down farther that is near the bottom edge of the dash. Why two?

I didnt learn this until last year but if you put your key into the door and turn the key to unlock the door, it only unlocks the driver door, If you do that twice within 2 seconds it will unlock the passenger door too rather having to open the door then press the unlock button for the other door..

I also learn last year I can change how my dash light has its own knob to turn them how bright or how dark you want it to be...

yeah Im slow :)

We don't need no stinkin' keyholes! Ain't used the one I got and I hope not to as long as the car survives.

Yep, but with Gen 1 and 1.5, you can lock the glovebox the same way.

And on gen1.5, the trunk release is in the glove box, so valet cant pop the trunk with the valet key if you lock your glovebox.

Gen 2 trunk can be locked from the inside by the release lever...and you don't have to reach over to the glove box to open your trunk :D

As far as Valet Lockout systems go, Gen2 > Gen1.5 > Gen1.

I wonder if they changed this again in Gen 2.5?
