What " Interesting Things" have you learned about

i was just thinking about how there are so many lil things that people do or dont know about the car some come from reading the manual like knowing the windows still opperate until a door is opened after you take the key out.

2 things poped into my head recently.

- there is a lil arrow beside the gas pump icon on the dash that arrow tells the driver wich side the gas is on I DID NOT KNOW THAT!

- the pollen fresh air filter is located behind the glove box I DID NOT KNOW THAT,

Toyota asks for 2x the price to replace it as what I got it for in the store. Makes you think twice about putting "things" out of site in the glove box when you go for an oil change now dosnt it seeing as they open it up and pull it right out. ahem hope no one is putting a spare pair of under pants in the glove box lol

If you insert your key in the trunk-lid and go counter clock-wise, you essentially lock your trunk - making it impossible to open it from inside!

I hear some Toyota machanics will through cabin air filter tray when you can just replace filter, then charge for both filter and the tray.

You can also make your own filter by cutting airconditioner filter to fit the tray if you want to save some money.
I made 4 filters with the same money it would cost to buy Cabin airfilter.

That's WEIRD! Does the emergency pull inside the trunk no longer work too?

My 06 doesn't even have a keyhole on the trunk. Can only be opened with the fob or the lever inside the car.

I noticed thaqt when i lock the car door, the lights blink, but no alarm chirp. guess there really isnt a real alarm there, just one on the remote.

But for those who love,

There is a keyhole to lock it next to the lever/cord for valet...

I know that...I was commenting that there was not one on the outside...and that just locks the lever for valet...it doesn't open the trunk, so it can only be opened with the fob and lever.

Gen2(.5) has only one keyhole. Driver's door.

... and I haven't learned wtf FOB really stands for yet.
Best theory I've heard is that the "beep beep" gets the attention of the ladies so it's "Finder Of Bitches"
