I'm the guy who used to own the classic Celica (red one) that you can see in Elmhurst Toyota's site pics of the event last year. That's me in my Classic Celica roadracing it in my link below.
I now have a Lotus Elise - Toyota powered of course.
1900 lbs with 190 bhp.
Look forward to the show, I hope the weather holds out.

Ah the shoes...
If you've test drive an Elise you'll find that the pedals work great for heel and toe, the gas and brake pedals are spaced pretty close to each other compared to other cars, you can use street shoes of course but it's way better if you wear some narrow shoes that give you that 'feel' for the pedals. I have kart shoes when I race and found it works great for driving the Elise too. I just leave 'em in there when I decide to go for a drive they are right there.

Puma Future Cats are great driving shoes.

Still talking a Saturday hookup?
GreatLakes Dragaway = Good fun and a chance to splatter WI bugs all over your nose before the show. (Plan on a Sunday morning cleanup) I have to see if they have open drag that day if we're interested.

Cook-out/kegger - I can try to reserve the harbor house at Waukegan Harbor. They have a patio we can take over. If's 100 degrees we can take a ride on the boat and jump in the lake.

City rally - Maybe the out-of-state SGs would like to cruise the city. Nothing like a top-down run of LSD to get the flavor of Chicago.

General hook up more south near Elmhurst - open to ideas. If it's day, I'm in, if it's night, I'm a maybe (since I'll be driving down again in the morning.)

lake shore drive is a good idea - i'm sure ppl like tacti will like it ( i remember he wanted to go out last yr but everyone dropped out)

i'm going to keep my saturday open so we can go out anytime.
