My suspension is shot.I was trying to decide if i should go the safe route and put stock back on,or go with a Monroe quick strut option,or go with a setup like Tokico struts,(some pring) option when in my web surfing i come up with this setup. It has taken me like since january to free up(saveup) this much money to spend on my car alone.I have mad bills so any thought would be apreciated. My limit is $600.00 like right now and i found the Tokico HPK361 for $499.00 plus shipping and i will still have to get strut tops.
Are there any differences in strut tops from factory versus aftermarket brands for our car?I think our only option is a factory type.

I have 18" z350 six spoke factories on 225-45-18 now.

If you search most member's and their momma have the HP(Blue Ones)... The Only tokicos made for your car.

500 bucks is too much for struts.

What "strut tops"?? If you mean Strut mounts, you use the oem ones.

If you go to tokico's web site they list a package ,of the blus struts and lowering springs that they make ,also check more power racing website in california.Called them this morning and they have the set for $499.00 and said it would take five to seven days for set to arrive ,they would have to order.Just wondering,if their struts are so good would their lowering springs be a safe bet too, thats all.I have done plenty of searching on this and other toyota forums but i am just looking for anyone with knowledge of these lowering spring and strut combo experience.
Thanks..Cee

tokico only have struts avaialable for the solara. They don't make springs for us. Only TRD/Eibach, Tien, Intrax and a few more companies make springs for the Solara off the top of my head. I agree with CamrySE-socallara $500 is a lot for the Tokico struts, you should be able to get them for atleast $400 or so.

They just released a new product with spring and strut combo. No one on this forum has tried them out but. But I guess he can be the first to test it out and let us know how the peformance of those are.

If you buy other springs like tein or eibach and get the tokico struts they end up around the same price as the set he listed above.

Will the Tokico strut and spring kit also fit the 2002 Solara?

If it does i might be the first to try it just not for another couple of months.

Do the springs already come installed on the struts?

I think its a decent deal. Tein springs or Eibach springs run around $165 to $200 new shipped. Tokicos can run from $339 to $400.00 shipped.

Add those 2 together and you end up paying close to the same thing.
You do the math. You actually get the benefit fromt he tokico combo since its 499.95 plus shipping.

The others option adds up to $600.00 or so...
If you can get some of these items used that would save you allot. But IMO I rather buy new suspension components then used.
