You did it. I think your setup is better than the original equipment done for the '07 Solara. Toyota could have saved a bundle doing what you did. (No reverse lights in the bumper, no retooling.)

I dunno dood. I mean, its cool that you did it, but I noticed a couple things...

Center brake light no longer functional below rear window.

When used as a turn signal, the light should go back to the "tail light" mode for it to be legal. **EDIT: Uh - watched it again - maybe they do, but you didn't have your lights on in the video.

I do commend your efforts though...

Jeff, the third brake light I disconnected a while back (Im working on a project), that light has nothing to do with it.

The lights do stay in "tail light mode" but the lights were off (I wanted the reverse lights to be seen on the video with the lights off), lol. I could get a vid up with the lights on once the sun goes down (tooo hot up in the valley right now).

In order for it to be legal, don't the signal lights have to be yellow?

Also when you break and signal simultaneously, only one will function at a time right?

BTW, his set up is perfectly legal. You have to either have a yellow or red turn signal in order to be legal in CA. This qualifies as a red turn signal. Haven't you notice the tons of new cars that have this kind of set up?

Not a lot of work.
The THIRD brakelight is something that has nothing to do with it, I disconnected that a while back.
Anyone could do this, anyone.
