I walked into a Toyota dealership back in June of '05 with hopes of picking up a manual transmission Scion tC. They didn't have any so I left - the guy showed me the Solara on teh way out and I was hooked but sad that the V6 only came in an automagic transmission. I can't do automagic so I got the ol' four banger banking that the supercharger would fit and work properly on my whip.

2.4L MT 2005 Solara SE w/ GE and 17" rims

Its been a year, I only put about 8000 miles betwene July and March/April of this year and so far its all stock. When I return from Europe late July, I'd like to start spaving up for some performance parts.

I'm kinda new to cars even though I know a bit here and there (swapped radiator, starter and catylitic converter on my 95/88 camaros) but I'm not all that.
I welcome, and need, all the help I can get.

Thanks Team

Julius

Welcome dude, glad to see you posted an intro. I'm sure you'll find plenty of info around here (and if you don't there are many people who will happily help you).

Good luck with things bro, I was in hopes of a supercharger for the V6 back in '04 when I picked mine up... The 4 banger at least has the potential with some $$$ and work..

just get a dezod stage 1 or a zpi stage 1 and get custom piping. I think both will actually sell the individual parts for the kits too

sup, from what i know, there seems to be some difference in the header design & a few other things that keep it from being a direct bolt on.. i dunno any turbo guys from the TC boards might be able to help u better.

Welcome and congrats on the nice ride.

I'm not sure if you hada chance to drive a Solara with the , ahem ... "automagic" transmissions, but it's pretty quick. The electronicly controlled 5spd auto has come a long way. (Of course this would be after the trans ecu is reflashed to a firmer shift pattern. I hated it before.)
