Radio is spazzin out

2 times in the past week and a half, I would change the station while the radio is on and the radio would just shut off.Ofcourse, im like huhhh... and when I pushed the button to turn the radio back on, it had no problems of working.So basically my radio is spazzing out deciding to shut off when i want to change the station. Does anyone know what I can do or look at. I would bring it to toyota for maybe a loose wire or something , i dont know,but i think i would be wasting my time and they'de do nothing about it. anyone know what i can do cuz its annoyin. thanks-

weird.

Is the interior of the car really hot or something?

What button are you pushing? The steering wheel controls or the HU itself?

If you take it to a dealer, make sure you can recreate it or they might give you the run around...

weird right?!?! i dont get it. im sure i would get the run around reguardless cuz it just happens out of no where, i cant show them when i get there. It's when i'm pushing the HU. the steering wheels buttons seem fine.

10,000 and yes still got the warranty. just gona be hard proving it and showing them since it happens sparatically. It works fine now

Bah, Pioneer Z1 all the way! My freind just installed his in his truck and he hooked every attachment known to man to it plus the navi in the 3d mode is great, killer unit, but I digress, I your car volume especially loud when this happens, is it different volumes every time. My best guess would be an amperage problem which is very rare but check your fuses to make sure there are not burn marks on the radio one. If there are then that would only allow a limited amount of amps to pull through under demand.

PS: Won't go to eclipse since JVC purchased them.

Mine does da same ting. I'm doin an audio overhaul this month anyways, so that should eliminate this inconvenience.

your radio turns off on u also when u change the station?? I really dont want to have someone take out the radio and stuff to check this but if it happens again, i know something is up.

Unfortunately yes. Matter of fact, it did it to me yesterday after work. It also happens when I fast forward a CD or change tracks. I seem to notice that if the button is pressed quick/light (tapped) it happens. Must be some kine short somewhere. I think its time to upgrade your sounds to complement your ride n e ways, yeah?

yea, im gonna upgrade but got other expenses and mods i want to take care of first. i got my system wired to my stock unit, but i dont think its that.its gota be some little wire somewhere. yea its jus when i push the button
