I am opting for either a s/c or custom turbo.. (sadly no real turbo out yet for solara)..
which one do you guys think is a better investment (both price and performance) ..

any input is appreciated. thanks!! yes i used to have a s/c, but I bought it from a friend for about 2900.. sold it cuz of problems with engine and stuff (actually dad made me sell it) .. so now im not sure of what to get really..

From a cost standpoint, you are better off selling the Solara buying a factory turbo charged car. A S/C AT 1mz takes even more time and money to really come to life than the MT.

Boosting a car isnt childplay. I could NOT have done it myself, but with a LOT of help from a lot of people my car is S/C'ed now. Good times, but its a lot of work homie. Either that or you need some deep pockets. I think the bill for the whole supercharger and supporting parts is around 2000-2200 so far. And thats just to make it run right at 4 pounds of boost

if pops said for you to get rid of a bolt on upgrade, what do you think he'll say if you want to turbo upgrade?
