Isn't it dangerous to be driving with headphones on?

I dont understand why in the world would you like headphones, but well...

I think that you can tap an output speaker wire then find a RCA female adapter to plug your headphones.

As to switching from speakers to headphone Right now I can't imagine how, maybe if you search the web you can find something creative.

Another idea: keep the music on low instead. I know it's for your girl while she's sleeping, but just out of curiosity, is this is in a parked car during say... lunch break, long-distance driving (as in you live 30 miles from her), or she likes your car so much that she sleeps there at night (I won't blame her, I love my car more than my girl...If I had one in the first place :( )?

But DO keep in mind that it is also illegal to have headphones covering both ears while you're driving. One ear, as in a cellular headset isn't and strongly recommended... There are plenty of idiots on the road who can't drive for crap when they're holding the phone (not pointing fingers but just an example), so keep that in mind.

And you think your girl is gonna be able to tell the difference while she's asleep?

Don't mean to be rude or anything, but this is one of the funkier (replace with your own putdown here) ideas I've heard/read.

I understand your point about louder sound out of headphones for less price, but it is not better sound quality. The frequency response from seperate channels cannot compare to single driver sound PERIOD. Three hundred dollars or not compare the specs you can attain with a multi channel system and the headphones and take into account the human ear has a frequency range of 20hz to 20khz and you will see you are cutting off your highs. Now if you want to set up headphones for navigation and what not, all you have to do is go to radio shack and purchase an RCA to 3.5mm female adapter and connect to either the stereo or in case of anplifier off of the output in the amplifier. Be careful however because from what I understand that I am not sure in your state but it is illeagal for the driver to use headphones in California because it prevents you from hearing emergency vehicles.
