Stock parts will hold up under about 6 pounds of boost from the TRD supercharger although Toyota/TRD only recommend 4PSI.

Depending on where you settle with that and accomodating mods, it can gain you anywhere from roughly 30-100 hp. It all depends on your car specificly i.e. your tranny and the mileage on your car, as well as what mods you have to go along with it.

So it's really all relative.

But the TRD SC is VERY hard to find. They come along every so often like just yesterday one on ebay brand new with full install kit went at an AMAZINGLY low price. It's all hit or miss, and then time, effort, and money from there.

As far as power outers go however, it is pretty much the only option made for our cars. Everything else is either custom or involves fabrication to make it work I.E. Nitrous and Turbo. Nothing else can just bolt right up and be ready to go and add as much power as the SC can. Some guys here have even built up their internals and gone with boost up to ~13/14 PSI. And those cars are monsters. :)
