Die-casts or models?

people that drive civics or eclipse's are more likely to buy toy cars than solara owners I guess.

oh man i would love to have one for the Gen 1 too!!

and as i've said it before: as people get older, they also get wiser (of course some exceptions apply) so if people tell me these cars are for old people, i take it as a compliment since i dont consider myself an exception. 8)

oh and im 27 :drinking:

SCULPEY!!! I haven't played with/used that stuff in ages. It's probably the most basic concept for any means of entertainment lasting over an hour. I have the night off, maybe later I'l go buy some and make a... well that's in the air still.

Note the irony:

Who in the hell decided to make a Dodge Caravan model over a Solara?

I will do a search for a Gen 1 die cast Solara from time to time. I still have not had any luck finding one. The funny thing is, there are Corolla die cast cars.

Get a SC model and mod it to look like a Solara (SC chassis + S15 lamps = FTW)

we're just too cool for die-cast model cars :P.

Re: Diecast Model

Postby blkswan » Sun Nov 09, 2008 4:51 pm

I just spend the past 24 hours looking for a diecast model of the Gen.1. My car getting old and dying...wanted to actually get a model before its undriveable.

I remember when I bought my car back in 99, the toyota dealers had TRD diecasts of the Gen.1. Does anyone else remember this?

Well....If anyone finds anything, please let me know. No matter how long from todays post, I will for sure will always want one: being my first car and all.

What about that guy that was having his friend do a RWD swap in a GEN 2?

I remember it was a lame thread but the "shop" that he was sending it to was an actual company that makes models.

I've seen Gen4 camry models out somewhere. They look weird in person, hence I never got one.

Funny enough that this thread popped up today. I was at Toys R Us and was going to ask about die cast models of our Solara's. If anyone finds a die cast model please please please also let me know and I'm sure many of us would want to get our hands on that.
