Question about my drop (pictures included)

Postby Solorange » Sat Mar 25, 2006 1:27 pm

I was looking at some of the peoples rides on this forum that have the same setup as me and it looks as if their drop in the rear is more than mine. Look at these pictures and tell me what you think. I think the back is too high. If you think it looks normal and im just being dumb just let me know.

This is my car like a week after i got it. No mods. Just to give you an idea of the drop. Looking back at this picture makes me sick, knowing how high it use to be.

my drop, look at the back.

oh yeah i have tein s springs with tokico struts, and a trd sway bar. Think the sway bar might push the back up?

looks fine to me..... how many miles have you put on your springs/struts? i know it takes some time for the springs to brake in.

it looks good to me...my back end sags down a bit just due to the weight of the subs, amps, etc. the guys are right, they will drop lower with some time.

with that setup, it tends to make the car look like it's slanted forward a little. kinda gives it an aggressive stance if you ask me. i have the same setup as well.

Looks normal to me.
Just get rims and it will look better.
The rear will look like that cause the front needs to be higher for steerin'.

Ive had this setup on my car since last august. so it has settled by now. I almost wonder if i should put eibach springs in the back. It just seems like there is too much of a gap in back. but somedays it looks fine and others it bothers me.

Hate to hijack the thread, but since this seems to be the most popular combo for dropping the 'lara... about how much should someone expect to pay for the struts/springs?

You really can't look at the gap, as the holes for the rear wheels are smaller than the front. I've got Eibach springs and thats what I look like.

Drop looks about the same as mine, and I'm running the same combo. As for price, expect around $200 for the springs, and $400ish for the struts, maybe a little less if you go ebay or kyb instead of tokico.

I think im just being dumb though. Im sure its normal. I will find out once i put the 18's on.
