They're slightly dimmer than they should be because I smoked them... but not nearly as dim as the converted video shows... something must have happened when I to the original when I exported it...

umm..you cant even see it at all and it's dark. i guess since you tinted it , it looks like your led lights are dying or something.Maybe you should have left it how it was so you can actually see it.
Other then that, its a nice add on mod for the ride, makes it look more noticable and i like how it looks on the luxery cars~

-- is the led light on the bottom of the side mirror or in the middle of it??i remember seein mike's in a pic but forgot

LED's in the bottom... trust me guys... the video isn't showing it properly... it's much brighter in person... somehow the compression of the video screwed with the brightness... and maybe because i'm using a digital camera to capture a video...

i can see the other stock headlights and tails blinking perfectly.I dont understand how the brightness of the camera is just dulling ur new aftermarket one. At night is the perfect time to shoot the video so we can see the lights more visably.maybe u just need new brighter bulbs. maybe if you just went real up close to ur new blinkers we could see it better and we can see wat ur talkin about.just my opinion.

I see my word isn't good enough for anyone :)

So, here's some pics of it in light...

And here's a newer video, which hopefully, will look a lot better than the last one... and even if it doesn't, it's the best I can do without busting out the camcorder...

Clinh led turn signal mirror

Postby michaels artic frost » Sun Mar 26, 2006 7:42 am

Second vid looks much better bro. Looks like you got them installed with no issues.

Like Clinh said, the vid doesn't do it justice, they're actually much brighter in person, even if it's smoked. Because mine aren't smoked and they brighten the ground around evening and night time; making them very noticeable when signalling.

Thanks for posting pics and vids bro, looks great.

Yup... installation was a piece of cake. And like you said, the longest part was routing the wires... and that only took about half an hour per side. I had the Haynes manual that showed which wire to tap into (I did it on the battery side of the harness, not the light side, if that makes sense, so that if I need to remove the tails, I can just remove the harness)

PS Sorry for missing your call Michael, I left my phone in the other room...

^^I'd love to attempt this but have to evaluate the actual mirror housing to see if it's possible. I'm sure it's possible, but I just want to make sure. I don't know of any local gen 1 for me to do this. Guess I'll have to find a Gen 1 mirror and see if it works. Are any Gen 1 owners interested in this?^^
