Hey people...

I finally got a CAD program running on my laptop... but, although I want to re-create ERICSOL's effort, its becoming a little hard...

Lets just say that my laptop crashed, well, atleast the files for the CAD program, and I lost my blueprint.

So, its back to the drawing board.... My bracket setup will be slimmer, since I plan on using steel instead of aluminum, therefore, eliminating the need for special bolts, and still maintaining the structural strength of the original caliper mounting. I was also designing a post mounted caliper bracket... possibly for Brembo calipers... lost that info too..

Im gonna dig thru my last data backup to see if I can locate those files, all in all, about a month and a half of work down the drain!.... grrrrrrrrrrrr

what kind of software are you using?

My laptop will run (barely) Solidworks, which ROCKS! for modeling stuff. It's not a drawing program, you make a 3d Model of your part, and then make the drawing of it (3 view ortho or whatever)

Are the plans for the caliper relocators available? I was wondering how much they could be made for in a machine shop if a run of 20 or so were done... The part dosn;t seem like it'd be that tough to make with a mill and other machine shop type stuff.

Im using Catia v3

and yeah, you need a powerful machine to run this... My laptop had an AMD Athlon 64 processor at 3.2GHZ, 2GB of pc2700 ram, and a 64bit ATI radeon video card.

Yeah for CAD you need a powerful computer to handle all that software.
As for "SCV6" comment yes Solidworks is better.
Hey once you get that back up and runnin' can you try to design a bracket of some sort for the Master Brake Cylinder to fit a Supra turbo brake master cylinder.
Former member was goin' to get one made for me.......
But sold the car before he could eva get it off to get one made for me.

But if you can design a bracket for the Solara Master Brake Cylinder to fit a Supra turbo one.

I am also lookin at other things... but yeah, once I get everything up and running.

You have no idea how pissed I am.... but its ok, one must learn to overcome adversity... I guess something not so good was going to come of it...

As for the master cylinder.... I would have to look at the Supra's, to get a visual, then I'll see about creating that as well.

I would be willin' to pay for the labor to make it and the supplies for it.
Been wantin' to get it off the ground and start workin' on it.......
