i'm gonna do my brake upgrade on my next free day off. is there any tips, tools, or advice you guys have for me. (i already tried the search so pfffft!) :P

Brembo drilled rotors, hawk HPS pads, and goodridge SS brake lines.
Tools: big c-clamp, high temperature grease, caliper paint (optional), flare wrench (anyone know the size of this?), anything else...??

also, i want to bleed all my old brake oil out, and replace it with synthetic oil. how do i bleed each caliper w/o getting air into system or mixing my old oil with the new synthetic oil?

I just did mine yesterday.
Not that hard.

Items needed:
1. Turkey Baster.
2. Helper.
3. Some yogurt containers about 4-5.
4. New brake fluid in big bottle.
5. Rubber gloves.
6. Clear tube that fits over the bleed nipple on calipers.
7. 5/16" or 8MM open wrench.

Jack the car up on all fours.
Then remove the rubber cap on the bleed nipple on all four calipers.
Then open the brake reserivor cap and then get the turkey baster and a yogurt conatainer.
Put the container next to the reserivor on the left side.
And take the turkey baster and take out the fluid from the reserivor and into the yogurt container.
And then once you have all the fluid out from the reserivor you will have to remove the screen from the reserivor.
You will have to twist the screen thingy out.
Set that outside some where so you can take out the rest of the fluid.
Then after you have all the old fluid out, then set it aside and then get another yogurt container and pour some of the new brake fluid in the container and then after that set it next to the reserivor on the left side and pour it in the brake reserivor and top it off and leave the cap off.
Then go to the rear passenger caliper and put the tube on the nipple and then after that have the helper get in the car and turn the car on but don't start it.
And tghen pour some new brake fluid in another yogurt container about 1/4 full and then submerge the tube in the new fluid, and have the helper press on the brake pedal all the way down and then open up the nipple and you will see brownish fluid come out and that will the old shite.
And then after that close it and have the help let the brake pedal off.
Then got the the driver side and bleed that the same way, then the passenger front caliper and then the driver front caliper.
You will have to do it about 3-4 times make sure when the fluid you have in the yogurt container that lets the old fluid come out wit the clear tube, to pour in some new one cause it will be hard to tell if all the bad stuff is out.
So when it gets pure brownish to black pour it in the container that the old brake reserivor is in and then pour some new like i said before.
And bleed the caliper until you see the clear fluid in the container you are usin' wit the caliper bleed.

Hope this helps i should write a tutorial but didn't think of it.
Will do it next time i bleed the whole brake system.
IM on AIM if you need help.

ROFL, I thought you were being sarcastic when I first saw the items list. Thanks for the information though. I plan on doing the same mod after I find out how good Yanks turned out. I may go with slotted though.

hahahaha directions are good tho, good job.

It's pretty easy to change everything as long as you have right tools (i did not change lines, and i did not bleed my brakes), it took me a couple of hours. just make sure you have a wrench with long hand, it took me about 30 min to do the last back wheel cuz the stupid nut that holds caliper braket would not come of.

You are gonna love the difference in breaking performance. I have brembo drilled rotors with halk pads in front and some cheap pads in the back. I wish i changed my lines too tho.

Please stay away from Motul brake fluid, it damaged my brake master cylinder.

I'm using ATE super blue racing fluid BTW.

Really????
Dang well is that ATE super blue racing fluid work good.
Cause my Valvoline brake fluid is now a tan color than a clear color.
Brakes feel a little better.
But not how i want it.
Not like my dad's Camry......
I know my rotors are warped but would that affect it????????

It works well with the Toyota braking system, the fluid can withstand pretty hot temps compared to the factory fluid.

Since your rotors are warped, why don't upgrade to performance rotors and pads (after your current pads were out), and at the same time try some of the superblue.
