I'd be in if I'm not working, maybe bring it down here to Santa Barbara for a day if anybody's interested, its only like a little over an hour from Pismo, whatever people want to do is fine with me.

^Knowing how lazy the NorCal guys are *eh HEMM*, I think only the socal guys would be okay with visiting SB... its just further driving for us anyway

But it would be nice if sumone was down to showing us around while we meet in SLO/Pismo

I think our last cruise to Morrow Bay and the Madonna Inn was pretty koo... isnt there a certain castle that people tour in SLO? I forgot what it is called

Hearst Castle: http://www.pismobeachca.net/hearst_links.htm

If the dinners are a bit beyond your price range, the tours shouldn't be. Daytime tours range from $5 for children to $10 for adults; evening tour prices are $10 and $20. To make reservations, call Reserve America at 1-800-444-4445. . To make reservations on-line, head to the Reserve America website at www.park-net.com. Tours do fill up, so reservations are recommended, but you can purchase tickets at the Visitor's Center on a walk-in basis

To read up on Castle history and displays or check out maps and directions to Hearst Castle, try the Hearst Castle Preservation Foundation website at www.hearstcastle.org.

And in the meantime, put on your walking shoes and head to Hearst Castle. Tours cover as much as half a mile, and include 150 to 400 stairs. (Tours for the disabled are also available by special arrangement).

The Castle is well worth the hour or more of walking - but you won't want to do it in high heels.

I never been there but im still down... Anyone know of any CalPoly Students that could show us around??

Kenny, Jeff, Mike... you guys rememebr where we met up last time?
I dont think we'll have a tour guide like TITO this time so we'll be on our own... unless Calreef18 can show us around since he is the closest

Is there a possiblity anyone staying overnight on this Meet? hotel reservations?

Don't worry about miles too much man, I am at 130k already :D from driving down to SD and up to the bay so many times. One of my good friends is a student at cal poly, I'll ask him if he wants to show us around the area. If not I'm gonna try and scout out the place one of these weekends. On thing I know of that is cool is in SB tho, but hwy 134 does a pretty neat loop that takes about half an hour to go through, goes up into the hills, can see lake cachuma and nice views of santa barbara and the ocean as well. Speaking of Hearst castle, I've been there and its pretty cool to see, the indoor pools with gold etchings on the bottom and the outdoor one with the huge ass marble pillars are something to see, as is the actual "castle". Oh and I just remembered hwy 1 is a lot of fun around that area, took it on the way home from hearst castle in a mini van and it took for-e-ver, but would probably be more fun in a car. Plus the views are great.
