you did come off pretty harsh. you reallly can't come to our forum bitching about how you're never getting a toyota again, because we love our cars and we love toyota. sorry for the misfortune, but i would wait to see what's wrong with it before flipping crap. i would be more disappointed than mad right now. i would bitch at the dealership and see what they say. when you find out what the deal is, let us know.

Well....I just called the dealer and they haven't even looked at it yet. Unbelieveable! It's been there for over 5 hrs. This isn't helping matters much. I'll keep you posted.

From a manufacturing standpoint, you won't beat a Toyota. All of my problems were dealer service related. Defects are measured in parts per million, so if you do have a problem from the factory, go buy a lottery ticket.

That's not the car that failed, it's the dealer. They don't ship these things with fluids so I'm sure some putz that did the "dealer prep" screwed up. The cars are remarkebly reliable. Other than silversurfer, you'll have a hard time finding a failure among the thousands of Solaras represented here.

No fluids upon arrival at the dealer? NOT! How do you thing they drive it on and off of the car transporters? Those systems are filled at the factory before they leave.

I'm actually looking for a buyer for my car. It is a 2006 SE 4 cylinder lunar mist. The additional options included are sunroof, spoiler, and floor mats/trunk mat. It has about 6,700 miles on it now. If anyone is interested or have any questions, feel free to PM me. Thank you.

The reason I want out of this car is because I wish I had purchased a V6.

I believe it is very unlikely manufactured liked this and even it does, you will covered by warranty. However, as up to date, i have not hear any other toyota had bad situation like yours. my 4 cylinder solara was turbo charged with 80k miles and still runs smooth. no problem at all beside external oil leak (too much pressure in the engine, no big deal). i guess is that you might had ran over something that hit the lower radiator which caused leak. OR when they get off the car off transportor they might did something stupid.

Toyotas have problems just like other cars. I don't think they are anything special. I feel your pain. My solara lost a transmission with 700 miles on it and still has a computer related timing issue. Nothing like have a car that is a week old on the flat bed. I'm waiting for the check engine light and code to come back on so the dealer will order a new ECU to solve the timing issue.

Never had a ford do that (I've had 3). In all honesty, I had a 91 celica GT that I abused and it never failed me. The biggest complaint I can have agaisnt toyota is the arrogance of the dealerships. THEIR product is sooo superior.... yeah right, you don't sell Ferraris. I also think the techs at the dealership beat the crap out of the car before it was delivered. It had 12 miles on it when I picked it up and I saw it get unloaded from the truck 3 days before with no mileage on it.

If you ever go to Explorer.com I would say at least half are on their 2nd transmission. The A4LD auto is a POS!!! And the Mitsubishi 5-speed also has it's problems.....ALL of which Ford denies.
But...I still drive one.

unlike most of the people here, i feel your pain on this.. toyota has gone downhill since the late 90's PPV (problems per vehicle) have gone up.. as the matter of fact. only thing keeping toyota in first place overall for reliabilty is LEXUS... i moved out of the toyota family due to problems with them that we had (97 burns oil about 1/4 quart per change) had to have cv boots replaced twice, along with cv joints. and struts blew even without lowering at under 100k that seems pretty damn bad.. for those who mock fords, keep in mind at least they fixed their tire problems (firestone) and replaced those trannys...

a few members here have had bad situations with toyota and their FAR SUPIERIOR products... especailly with dealers that think the same way as teh fanboys here..... i wonder how many here would return a car just like him in the first 100 miles if you had your coolant spill everywhere, motor blow etc??

i bet all u bootches are lying your asses off saying "NO ME???? NEVER I LOVE TOYOTA" would do it in a heartbeat.. i know damn well i would.. especailly having problems THAT FAWKIN EARLY.. and all u lyin SOBs know it

(yep i know i came on hard but u all know damn well how ever little it is u would complain immedatley and want that car gone...)

THATS THE REALITY...
