Were not hating. You also have to take into consideration that the way exhaust is exited from the motor makes a difference in power. When you see something that isnt normal, thats a vital clue that something could be off or he is pushing enough power that it will overcome the exhaust flow pattern. Allot of car headers if you notice arnt too different in lenth. that is done so to help pull the wasted exhaust out evenly causeing unwanted uneven flow.

I like the car. Maybe reason why people are unfimiliar with your header is because th way its welded together and where it sits. Im not hating either but Ive heard stories where you want your header to be same lenth exiting. I need to find the old post on it.

looks sick man, keep us updated. And I think some you stock solara drivers cant really say that you dont like the look of the manifold, cause most of us dont like the look of a stock engine either. If the manifold works then go for it, im sure if you reach your 300whp goal you'll have it accomplished cheaper than supercharging the v6 and making that much power. I kind of want another solara to turbo but a 4 cylinder.

Then maybe people should specify that it doesnt look normal and that may cause some conflicts, but instead they seem to be criticizing its looks.

its a prototype....the aesthetics play an ancillary role the the functionality. if its a poor design performance wise - please let me know why and what would be better. if its a matter of looking good or bad, i could care less at this point. this is the first turbo 2az, im not expecting perfection and flawless looks. one thing is for sure - when the project is done and stage one kit complete.. how the manifold looks wont matter when im putting down better #'s than a supercharged v6..... i love you guys, help me out... this is for all solaras, im trying to do somn that will help us get some more exposure...

yea man, i20solara02i is the one that hooked me up with this opportunity... his will be hella sick when its boosted. most of you guys are forgetting that this is a log manifold, there isnt really enough of a demand to make the cosmetics flawless.... ill powder coat it and make it look better. im just pumped to have the first boosted 2az.

just remember, this is all preliminary. I dont even think everything i even all hooked up at this point. Its a prototype log manifold most likely for fitment. Just remember, ZPI doesnt make crap. Let me show another ZPI stage 0 on the 2az.
Get the cerma-coated option and all the sudden, the manifold looks pretty darn good

Don't worry

Postby JMSinMaryland » Sat Feb 18, 2006 8:26 am

They know so much about design they just CHOOSE not to build it themselves  Anywho, there is a company in VA whose work I've seen that builds turbo manifolds that look just like that (i.e. same layout) and they are running a turbo Integra with a solid 800 hp. Lead the way. Jon.
