IF SO DOES ANYBODY KNOW A GOOD PLACE TO GET IT DONE ? IN CALI, AROUND LA COUNTY? :lol:

3) tons of shops will do it but you could always ask your dealer who they use.

Normal solara rhetoric is:
1. don't do it
2. it will lead to water leaks (inturn leading to rust)
3. not woth the $$

My opinion:
Do a search here, some got a professional service to install a sunroof on their gen1s, and it looks good. Get the person's name and see how its doing now (since i'm guessing that post was over 2 years ago)...and if its a company..see if they have a shop in your neck of the woods...

my cousin did it a little whiles back and it leaks and stuff
even dealer says its not a good idea even though they do it themselves

I would highly advise against it. We put sunroofs in our off rental cars for customers, if they want them, and the companies that we sublet them out to, 98% or so come back because they leak, or the headliner starts falling down, or the seals start coming out. My insurance agent told me that if you "cut" one into the roof (aftermarket), it ruins some of the structural integrity of the roof by putting one in. If its OEM, its all good.
