Hey all,

My question is in the pix:

If their not capped, then where do they attach to?

Thanks.

Is that for your Avalon? On the Solara, the vacuum tank is under the battery tray. It's supposed to be used as a vacuum reservoir for the EBC system. It provides a reserve vacuum source for the EBC actuation of the bypass valve. If you do not use the EBC, then it's just capped off at the tank or the vacuum lines are plugged.

yeah, I'm using the EBC now, but the tank is either capped off nor connected to anything else. I followed the diagram to the best of my knowledge. In the diagram, where they show the new connection to the vacumm tank, I did do that. Bu the tank itself is uncapped near the firewall. Any clue?

On an Avalon is that thing really between the firewall and motor like in your pic? You got a service manual or can post a pic? Maybe Jim knows. I have never seen under the hood of any Avalon.
