Spark Plugs
For some time I was having a lot of problems with the spark plugs in the SuperSolara. I switched to Denso Iridium plugs, but 3 of the 6 failed one by one. They didn't have more that a couple thousand miles on them before the first one went, and when the second one stopped sparking I began looking for a better alternative. Luckily each of the failed ones were easy to get to without the removal of the S/C: 2-4-5. Well I found what I believe is the better alternative. These plugs are used in the late model BMW "M" cars. They are an NGK Platinum plug with 4 cathodes (sometimes refered to incorrectly as ground electrodes). Anyway, I have had them in for quite some time now with no failure and they feel at least as good power-wise as a new set of Denso Iridiums. Part number is: BKR6EQUP (Stock number 3199). You might want to give them a try. Because they have multple cathodes, they also solve the question of using a multiple cathode platinum plug as recommended by Toyota.
