Blue Tooth Car Kit

I was wondering if any of our forum members have installed a Blue Tooth Cell Phone Car Kit in their Gen 2 Solara with Nav. If so, how well does it perform? The type that I'm refering to, works with the radio speakers and cancels the radio when a call is being made or received.

I've been looking into bluetooth kits for a while now. The motorola ones go for about 200 bucks.

I would get a shop to install it just so you get all the functionality that you can out of it. I know the kit comes with its own speaker (getto) if you dont (or cant) use your radio speakers.

I have also heard that people have problems with echo and feedback from self installs through OEM radio setups.

I just decided to go with a bluetooth headset that way when i leave the car i dont have to fool around with anything, I can just keep walking.

ps-The new camrys (2007s) come with bluetooth, so maybe its worth waiting to see if they are compatible with our solaras. :crosses fingers:

Here is a link to a kit that does work through the car's sound system.
