Emblems

Emblems

I really want to take of my "Toyota" emblem on the upper left hand corner of the trunk (It looks so out of place) Now, I had a little accident with a mailbox and had to have the trunk completely replaced, repainted, the whole nine yards. Once it warms up, should I still be able to grab some floss and a hairdryer and just take it off? Or are there any complications i might run in to?

You got it correct. Heat it up with the hair dryer and just saw it off with the floss

fishing string works better, since it is stronger and won't break like floss will

I have a pic of my trunk w/o any emblems. I personally think it makes the car look wider by not having a focal point in the center. Jon.

it depends on your car. if its old, your car might have a slight tan line. like mine =( i plan on painting my emblems and reapplying them soon. i've seen people do it on the tacoma and it looks sweet when you paint it black and have a black car :D

Goo Gone

Postby SpikedMantis » Mon Jan 27, 2003 1:04 pm

Don't forget to use the Goo Gone to really get rid of all the excess stuff left after you take off the emblems. I used it based on suggestions on this site and I can't even see an outline of where the emblems were.
