1999 Toyota Solara Pearl White

Postby ramieh1987 » Wed Nov 23, 2005 12:00 pm

Whats up guys, I'm new to the site. My name is Ramie and own a 1999 Toyota Solara. It's pearl white and its my pride and joy. Right now all I've done to it was a 20% tint all around, clear corners, JVC SHX-900 Head Unit, Interior Footwells and Air Condition Vent LED'S, PIAA Xenon Headlights, Hyper white Led Turn Signals, PIAA Xenon Foglights. I want some more ideas that don't cost a lot to do (But am definately willing to spend some money). I want to do performance and also would like to do a lot more exterior stuff. If anyone has anything for sale or would like to give me information on where I can get stuff for cheap thatd be appreciated. Once again, its nice to meet all of you and hope to chat with you soon. Thanks a bunch.

"live" or "love"?

good start on your solara... one of the first things to do when modding would be suspension upgrades... springs/struts or coilovers... rear sway bar, front sway bar, etc

its honestly hard to look at a solara at stock height... its an eye sore
Retired... its been fun Image

Solara

Postby ramieh1987 » Wed Nov 23, 2005 11:13 pm

Im definately going to post some pics as soon as I can get my hands on a digital camera. And for whoever asked me the LED question they are VARAD brand, and they're blue. They take up a lot less space and are brighter than the old school neon tubes. Ill post a pic if i get the chance. And for whoever asked me where I was in Chicago (Sorry, Im trying to get used to who's who, lol), I live in the south suburbs of Chi-town. Man if you have some extra solara stuff or parts that your trying to sell that'd be awesome that way I can just come by and pick it up. But thanks for the warm welcome everyone, glad to be a part of solaraguy.org.

another quick question if anyone has an answer. is there any way where i can keep my stock guages (speedometer, fuel level, RPMS, blah blah) and change the color to BLUE. and also i was wondering if it was possible to change the lights (which is stock green right now) that are behind the buttons on the center counsel. By that I mean like the AC buttons, the actual LCD on the AC Control Unit, All of the defroster buttons, stuff like that. If anyone has done anyhting like this let me know. Thanks

You can put blue lights behind the guage cluster but it would look more aquaish then blue. Red looks the nicest.
