hood vibrating

is there an easy way to tighten the hood latch?

my hood vibrates slightly when idling due to hood latch not being tight enough and it drives me crazy!

Thanks a lot!! 8)

Where is the vibration comming from? If it is toward the front, there are two round (cylindrical), black rubber bumpers that the front of the hood sits down on that can be adjusted by twisting them. If they are not adjusted properly, the hood will have no resistance and will vibrate against the latch.

No problem at all :-) They have a spiral track down the side like a screw, you want to bring them out a little bit (so the hood rests on them) but not too far out or the hood will sit ackwardly. The best way to make sure they're even is to twist them down all the way (till they stop), then twist them up at half-turn intervals (evenly) until the hood is firm and sits properly.

Good luck!

If that's not the solution, it might be the latch assembly. PM me for a scanned copy of the instructions page, or go to page 11-6 of the Haynes manual if you have one, but I have a feeling it's just the edge cushions, though.
