Gen 1.5 Dash Kit

Just a FYI: (No questions on it) While looking for CF dash pieces on the Gen2, I found this.

Available at Nopi.com.

$247.50 for matching factory wood finish
$331.50 for Toyota's CF dash pattern (Same pattern as the one Toyota used on the Gen2 SE Sport)

Carbon Fiber

Postby Sentinel » Sun Oct 23, 2005 2:15 pm

While I think Carbon Fiber looks just as cool as anybody else out there, I feel that unless it is being used where it counts (Lighter hoods or other parts) Stickers that look like carbon fiber are the wickity-wack, jack. At the very least, get some real carbon fiber.
You can get the stuff for about $30-50 a square yard at aircraftspruce.com, and they also sell the other materials you need to work it. I'm not sure if they sell pre-preg yet (already has the matrix in it.. makes it much easier (and cleaner) to work with) but they have all kinds of training books and such... it is not really all that hard to work with, very similar to fiberglass.

That is a sticker deal, and its been around, and its been around cheaper.

http://alkaplus.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cfm ... ductID=138

I got my wood dash kit from there, but over a year back and cheaper. It goes for 140 now, If you want real carbon fiber, they offer it for +30%. ($182) Gen 1 and 1.5 Interior bits are the same, except 1.5 have stock wood trim around the shifter, that you can hopefully pull off to replace if you decide to get a CF kit.

Note that none of these dash kits come with the stock wood trim that goes around the door. You will need to wrap or make your own to replace those bits.

They have nothing for Gen2 though.

Don't think it will. If you want a dash kit, stick with wood for tan, CF or Aluminum for charcoal.

just to let you guys know, i bought the "real" carbon fiber dash kit from alkaplus.com and it's not real c/f. also, if you do decide to get it, make sure you take the extra time to apply it. cement that sucker on if you have to.
