I say the RSB would give you the most bang for your buck

If you want better handling=RSB
If you want better looks=lowering springs or jdm headlights and corners
If you want more speed=CAI
If you want a better stereo=Amplifier

If i was you id go with the rsb first then the lowering springs and then the CAI.

Ditto.

Cons for the others:
-Lowering Springs : wouldn't do those until you get struts also. It's better to do both at one time.
-Injen CAI : should always be here, not much of a difference value wise.
-JDM Headlights and Corners : price should go down in the future, and you can't see them while you drive!
-JL Audio Amplifer(i need more watts than the one i have now) : Well, this might be 2nd place since you need it, instead of just want it.

Remember when you do the lowering springs it would be wise to replace your struts too, and not to mention the TRD sway bar is going to be non-existant soon.

yea tru. btw my subs will play its jus they cut out if i turn them up high since its not enough watts to power them. how much of a difference would it make to not get struts and jus do lowering springs? i was thinking of lowering first

RSB

Postby Sentinel » Mon Oct 24, 2005 6:07 pm

I put a RSB on my ride before the springs and struts, and think the RSB made much more of a difference than the struts and springs.
As far as doing the springs but not the struts: DON'T. No half-steppin' You'll have to replace the struts soon enough anyway. Personally: I almost wish I put performance struts on and didn't bother with the springs (Damn speed bumps)

It is wiser to do the lowering before the RSB. Ive known some members who put on a rsb b4 the lowering to say that their rsb brackets snapping... when youre at stock height, the rsb takes on a LOT of weight and tension... if the car is lowered, the weight and sway is decreased...

but lower the car first with struts n springs... do it completely without half-azzing it
Retired... its been fun Image

springs and struts

p.s. - there is nothing JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) for the solara. it is a US-only car.

The thing is, the stock handling isn't great, but it's enough to handle the power the car is putting out in its stock form. Unless you're autocrossing the car you're not going to need the RSB or the lowering springs just yet. I would say go CAI for now, then the amp (since this is probably your DD) and then the handling components. Move from there.
