new to the boards here.usually at the ford truck site.i own a corolla [93] and just bought a solara.love the toyotas!!! waiting for it to get here later in the week.pearlescent white [cool].5-speed.50,00 miles,new brakes and clutch.been checking out the pics here and you guys look good.thought i'd say hello and banking on you all for help down the line.most of you are in calif.this boy is from colorado.well maybe down the road will have people from all over.well anyway......hi and see ya's later....joezee

hey congrats on the car and welcome. Its sweet that you got a 5spd, is it a v6?

yep, a 5 speed.6 cylinder.don't know what to expect with that one.i'm thinking it's a bit quick but don't really know yet.give me the low down on the 6 if you can.yeah,i'm excited right now....joe

Not only will it be quick, but add the S/C and you'll love it even more. SE v6 5spd is a very rare car, nice find

8) hi again.which one is steve...the one with the 5 speed.can't seem to find him....why is the 5 speed considered a rare find......S/C..too much money for me to get one of those.sweating the payment on mine now.but it does sound interesting.if i can the wife to figure things out,i'd post a few pics sooner or later.that's her job!!! hahaa.well if anyone can answer these things,that would be appreciated.just want to know about the solara.i,m just hoping it's as reliable as the corolla.........joezee

Steve is a member of teamsc3.com. He isn't a member of this forum. The 5spd V6 never sold really well and therefore not many were produced. It was also discontiued for 2003

Hehe...you won't get the great gas mileage the Corolla gets. :( But still has been reliable for me..and i'm up to 75k. I sure do miss my 90 Corolla LE (30mpg avg).
