I had a shop install my gauges. I bought an EGT and a Boost gauge. The EGT had to have a hole drilled into the headers and welded in, I can't do that stuff. Anyway, they didn't know about the fitting going into the top of the s/c. I guess they didn't see it from the strut bar. They did just what you said chef, they tapped into that vacuum line under the black plastic cover. I'm just curious if there is any difference.

What reading do you see under no load? I think mine was reading something like 4In.Hg. Then under full boost with a 6 psi pulley it read max of 4 psi. Does this sound right or do I need to move the connection to the brass fitting? Thanks -JoeB

I've just got my 6lbs pulley installed and with my boost guage tapped directly to the supercharger it reads 6lbs boost all the time. Joe.... we'll hook up in a few weeks when you're available and I'll help you tap into vaccum/pressure line on your supercharger.

Oh..

Congratulations on your 6lbs. pulley! I'm loving mine too.

Any pics? What are you using to secure the line into the SC?

Rizal, sounds great, thanks! I noticed I was reading the gauge wrong. I'm only reading 1.5-2psi boost! This setup aint working for me. I really need to find that brass fitting. -JoeB

Joe! Hey man. I got your pm and didn't want you think I was ignoring it. I'm gonna be busy this entire week cause of the CDT Recertification that I'm doing.

I bought the 90 degree street elbow from Fairfax Auto Parts in Fairfax, Va. off of Pickett Street. If I can find the number and part I'll let you know ASAP. If I can recall its an elbow with an 1/8" thread.

I'll keep you posted.

I also had to get a short male adapter. I believe I got mine at Home Depot. If you have the strut tower brace, there might be a clearance issue. I bought some washers to raise the brace.
Hope this helps.

chef solara wrote:All you guy don't need the brass fitting, you can hook up through a vacume line that comes out under the black plastic shield. That's what I did and it works perfect. All you have to do is cut the vacume line that connects from the top of the manifold to a 2x2 little black box under you throttle body, the hose is no longer than 5inches. just T tap into that and your done. I'll try to get some pics.

Astro this didn't work out for you???

So far washers sound like the right choice but then you have to get the right washers that are super indestructable appearently. A lower profile 90 degree brass fitting sounds like a better option but where can I find something like this?
