Blinker on Side Rear View Mirror and TRD RSB

Postby tacti » Mon Oct 03, 2005 7:49 pm

This weekend, I got Blinker on Side Rear View Mirror (i don't know how i should call it, but is this right?) after whole day of the work with Michaels Artic Frost.

We had some problem with the grounding, but after all done, it was surely worth the effort.
I greatly appreciate Mike.

Also, at the same time, I had installed the RSB.
It make a lot of change!
I don't do much of aggressive driving, but even just for the daily driving,
the ride became much better.

Please take a look at my CD page in my Sig for more Pics and another clip!

Thanks guys.

it took us whole day..
we started around 8:30 or so, and finished like 6:30. :o
this include some time installing RSB, as well as eating pizza for lunch, having garage sale, etc.

if you have questions, you might want to Michael T. he can give you a good advise. Good luck!

Don't blinkers legally have to be yellow in color? Also, yellow would match nicely with the front and rear blinkers you have already.

Front Blinkers can be white or amber as long as you have at least one pair of amber blinkers.

I believe Gen3 Camrys had white blinkers and amber blinkers below them on the bumper

Thanks for clearing that up Jon. I checked the state laws and just as Jon had mentioned above. White or amber blinking forward is legal.

Thanks again for helping out with the garage sale Tact. I'm glad we got everything squared away before dark.

Next time we meet, I'll be in your area so you don't have to drive the 2-3 hour stretch.

The LED blinkers are offered in amber and white. I've got more info on my freewebs.com site

Yep, actually it was my third visit to his house.
it's just couple hours on highway, and actually not that bad drive.
especially i used to commute to my school from my girlfriend's house, and it took me an hour and half for one way, 5 days a week, couple hours drive is not that bad at all.

LOVE DRIVING!

Oh ok i know where that is. Im just about 25minutes south of you. I live in west chester. I also noticed you have an echo. I have a friend who lives in kettering who has a gold echo that is juiced (hydralics) sitting on some kmc rims. I dont know if youve seen it around.

For the guys that ask for a tutorial on this. I'm not really sure where to start or if it's even worth it for me to write one. I'm saying this because I wrote a tutorial for DIY clear corners and two members that I know of tried to clear corner their headlights and ran into some problems of condensation. I don't want things like this to occur. I try my best to give all possible precautions on these DIY projects. I also stressed my concerns and give as much tips as I can. But, now I partly feel responsible for those that have condensation in their headlights.

So, with the interest in this being so low, I don't think many people would even attempt something like this. But, I could be wrong.

The best advice I can give is find some LEDs that you plan on using and cut into your mirrors and install the LEDs. But, please be careful as if I were to ever break anyone's mirrors, I am responsible for buying them a replacement.

That's why this is a very dangerous thing because the Gen 2 side view mirrors are not cheap. They're $190 for one from the dealership. So, you're looking at about $400 for both mirrors if they break/crack.

If you need help uninstalling your mirrors, I'll be more then happy to help you with them. Just send me a pm/email.

Thanks,
Michael
