Well, to square things up I just threw a rock at the side of her car. A small one, but not too small.

As for accidents, she parked in my space so there should never have been an opportunity to have one.

Now that I feel a little better, I'll just take it to dent busters and see what they can do. I had a rental garage, but for $100/month I figured it would be cheaper to do dent repair or paint.

I'll let you guys know when she surrenders to her attraction.

Well one time in my apt. parking lot I came out to see that someone had hit my passenger side door, the "ding" was so big that I had to get a new door skin, which ended up costing me $1000 w/paint. Then not even a day goes by and I had another ding on the driver side not as bad as the passenger side. Then to top it off I got a good size ding on my front passenger side fender, and someone keyed a line long as the chrome strip on the front of the hood. At this point I don't even care to get them fixed until I'm ready to sell my car.

One more note, my apartment is gearing up to paint the exterior of the entire complex. I'm parking way the hell away from this place when they do and here's why...

My old apartments were doing the same thing, repainting the outside. My x-gf had a Matrix XRS and I had a red civic at the time. Well guess what, they don't give a sh$t about backspray. So both cars were covered in white spots of latex paint. The only way I could think to get the spots off was with my thumbnail, inch by inch over the entire front half of the car.

So, with most apartments raising rent to compensate for higher home prices, you can expect to see some cheap updates to the buildings and a lot of painting. Beware.

I went on line to www.sportwing.com and bought some nice body side mouldings ($139) that will eliminate potential door-ding problems. Look under the "painted moulding" section to locate a picture of the moulding applied to a Solara. The color matched the Absolute Red as much as the bumper covers match the body color, application is easy, and hopefully my doors have some protection from the ding-devil.
