Door dings

I'm so pissed, I finally got my first dent in the back quarter panel right in front of the rear wheel. It makes me want to throw up when I see it after my car gets washed.

I park my car in the uncovered space next to my covered parking space so noby can park next to me. Apartments are full of people who don't give a sh$t about keeping things nice. Anyways, so I walk down to my car and the girl who lives next to me is leaving at the same time, her new Z4 convertable is in my reserved space. And it's so close I can barely sqeeze in the car. Her brother is also walking down the stairs so she had a passenger that had to get out on the side that was so close.

I got my car washed the next day and saw a dent, 99% sure that was when it happenned. Any ideas? Half of me wants to scream at her and make her pay for it, the other makes me want to make fun of her so she'll get all insecure and want to fuhk. She's a 9, 10 with the car.

I got a ding on my 04 solara a while back too.
I went to carmedics........those guys who drives around in vans and fix dents.
It cost me $100 to fix a good sized ding.
Just have them look at it and what they say.

You can get your ding fixed at a body chop cheap if you do it the cheap way!! Have them put that bondo crap to fill it in and then paint over the small part. Make sure to wax that area a lot at first.

Then pop your neighbors gas cap cover off and instert a rag wet with gas into the opening. Next light the rag on fire. Please remember to run fast and hard.

Then you can bone her for sympathy.

Thinking out loud, it might not be a bad idea to make sure you're parked somewhere else other than your reserve spot when you do that.

I hate when things like that happen. I carry a can of BRIGHT NEON PINK spray paint.... and you know the rest. I only do it when I'm SURE of who it is, no point in getting someone who's innocient like you were when it happened to your car.

Guys, it is a frickin' ding, one that could have been accidental at that! My door has swung open further than I wanted it to on several occasions (apparently the hinges were not at the proper position and they opened the door even further). My dog has also caused my door to open further than I wanted and caused it to hit another car. Luckily, I knew the owner of the car and there was no damage but accidents happen. I am more of a nut than most when it comes to my car and its appearance and while I do get pissed off at the carelessness of others, a ding is simply not worth a confrontation of any sort. Unless you have evidence it was intentional, drop the issue and have a paintless dent removal professional look at the dent/ding.

Remember that keying or spray painting a car is INTENTIONAL and thus, it is VANDALISM.
Moved on to better things...

I feel your pain.. I know its just a "ding" as some people are putting it.. but I know how you feel. its not just about the ding.. its the principle of it all.. if I accidentally did that to someones car I would have the courteousy to let them know.. if she has said something to you about it and apologized do you think you would be as P.O'd as you are that she didnt say a word.. granted I would still be pi$$ed off.. but I would aslo have a check in my hand from her for the damages she caused...:)

Its not about the ding. Its about people who dont give a sh*t about anyone else. And there is the fact that dings and dents bring down the value of your car when its time to trade or sell. It can cost hundreds.
And yes accidents happen, but when they do, dont just walk away, take responsibilty and pay for your mistake. But no one ever does. Its not just a ding but disrespect for someone elses property. And when you care about the appearance of your vehicle it hurts even more.
