Yeah, tr5y to veer away from ripping off your paint. I did mine a while ago the way rich said.

Afterward use some crap like goo-gone, or dissolv-it to get rid of excess goo. Then you may or may not have a "tan" from where the badges were. If you do make sure the area is clean and take a rubbing compund to it to get the tough stuff out, and then do a polishing compund to get lighter finer stuff out without effin up your paint, and then if you have something liek Zymol HD Cleanse to get the rest of it it really helps.

I first did the "TOYOTA" on the back a while ago, and it left alight tan that was hard to tell unless you were looking for it but it was still pretty noticeable, and then after awhile I thought of the rubbing and polishing compunds I have chillin in my garage and HD cleanse and went through that process and you can't even see it anymore. After I saw how well that worked the SLE V6's were gone from the sides as well. I'm leaving the toyota emblem and "solara" I like them.

On the trunk area on the @$$ end of the Gen2 Solara, the
Toyota and SLE/SL Logos can be removed easily without having to bondo in any holes?

Dude I used to put on the gold packages on the gen 1's before they moved to Kentucky. Believe it or not they would send them down the line with the silver emblems on and then take them off and switch to gold. What we did was first tape around the emblems to mark the locations and then use a heat gun to warm the emblems up ( I'm sure a hair dryer would work) and then use fishing line and saw back and forth until the emblem falls off if it is hard to remove heat some more, then use some mineral spirits to remove and left adhesive. We would also heat the backing of the gold emblems prior to installing them on the car. This is the procedure we use at the Toyota plant in Cambridge, On.

Very cool info Flyinhi. It's always nice to have a little info from the inside of TMMC. Thanks for the post. It was so good, that I think I'll let it be the last entry.
