Well, I fried my Startech 160 Amp Alt and now I have my stock one on which means no bass till I get a new Alt. So if anyone has a HO Alternator that is 200 Amps or greater lemme kno if you wanna get rid of it. Preferably Ohio Gen or Excessive Amperage.

I got mine for my camry from Excessive Amperage. 150 or 160 amp? Direct bolt on and haven't had any problems after 2 years. No more lights dimming either!

Thread is a little dated but...How did you fry yours?

Where did you guys get your Excessive Amperage ones? I'm going to get a new alternator but I'm not sure what the best one to get is. Denso? The one from Mr. Alternator? I'm not sure.

I fried it probley from playing at idle to many times, my old alt didnt kick in untill 1200 RPM but my new one is at 800. I got a 200amp from EA. Really good but I still have pretty bad voltage drop and REALLY bad dimming. I think it must be the wiring or something cause that alt should easily handle 1500RMS.

hskrsolara how many watts are you running and how is your amps wired and grounded?
