TRD spring noise
I just had my TRD springs installed this evening on my 06 Solara Convertible by my local dealership to find out that whenever I make a turn at low speeds or go over bumps I hear a low clunk sound up front . My mechanic said the front springs are touching /hitting each other thus causing the clunk. He said this is not normal and that the insulator does not cover all the coils. I am very upset not to mention disapointed that a quality product such as TRD would have this problem. I have contacted Toyotaparts4u about this and is awaiting a call back tomorrow. They have offered to replace the springs but I am afraid the problem will still be there.
I have read threads that many of you with the TRD springs are also having this problem. Should I have gone with the Eibach instead?
Please help!
