He said in a statement 5 posts above yours that they actually seem to hit harder than in his bandpass, however I would assume that this is strictly because his bandpass was firing upwards into his baffle (the only way it looks like he could have placed it with the given space) while his current setup is firing toward the rear, giving full reflection (which is far more efficient)... It also depends heavily on the type of music listened to... bandpasses (especially store bought) produce next to NOTHING outside of their tuned frequency range, while infinite baffle mounts act as very large boxes (unless you open the trunk and fire free-air, which ain't good).

they DONT sound like $hit... i have more space and they hit harder too! u feel every single frequency...

That is what I was stating... According to your picture and from what you just said, the ports fired toward the trunk opening (backward), but the subs themselves fired upward toward the baffle... Had the subs themselves been firing toward the trunk opening (such as they are now), you would have been receiving far more output...

I never dissed your current setup bro, look over my coments again. I think it was a creative solution, and it did exactly what you wanted it to do. Most importantly, you're happy with it. I give you props for being a self-achiever and getting up the motivation to actually be creative and find a solution for yourself rather than going out and relying on other people to do it for you.

All I was saying in my previous posts were to be careful about power handling (as you lose quite a bit by choosing to do what you have done) and to be careful about playing the subs loud with the trunk open (because they tend to react as if firing into free air, which they essentially are).

You did a good job man. Enjoy your work, cuz there's much pride in telling people "I built that".

Peace,

-James

^^^ dont get me wrong either bro...i know exactly what you mean... i actually tried them with the trunk open.. they didnt sound as bad as you mad them... because remember there is a box for them in the back with the seats up... however if the seats were down and the trunk was open then yes what you're sayin will happen and the subs will get messed up... Thanksto you again bro.... im actually proud of myself doin somethin like this... cause iwas plannin on goin to a shop and doin it... but i did it myself....
