K&N filter? To or not to?
i am tempting to put in a K&N drop-in filter for the solara
but i have had bad experience with K&N drop-in filter before
long story short: i put in a K&N filter in my previous car and the rev idle high sometime later, and the mechanic told me that a [vacumm] valve was busted because of the excessive oil that the intake was sucking in. needless to say, i had to replace the valve, money out of pocket, and put in OEM-style paper filter again from then on.
btw, that K&N filter was brand new out of the box. so i didn't add any oil to it. or was it over oiled from the factory?
anyway, just want to heard from people that got K&N drop-in's and see if it worth it?
thanks
