Losing my solara...

Losing my solara...

Postby cablemn » Sun Sep 04, 2005 10:53 pm

The good news? Looks like my wife is getting a great job teaching elementary school. Good money and benefits.
The bad news? Her new job is 25miles away and it doesnt make any sense for her to drive her Durango LTD with the HEMI on a daily basis with George Bushs gas crisis in full swing. So since i work 2 miles from home it looks like we'll be trading cars. Not that i don't like the Durango, but after the tranny fix was done i completely fell in love with my solara.
The wife doesn't even appreciate the trouble i went through to get the body kit hooked up on an SLE!
This changes everything.
Im too depressed to continue.

Well, at least you can hope that the gas crisis will end soon (yeah, right, keep dreaming...)

Seriously, I know what you're talking about. Once I got my 06 and the lag was gone, I fell in love all over again with the car. I'm feelin' your pain bro.

keep politics in general talk forum please....
democrats are just loud mouths that cant keep any emotion to themselves

otherwise, im sry to hear your situation. she could always buy a civic hybrid or something. i think gas is well worth 3-4 dollars a gallon. im definately not going to shoot myself in the foot because i think its higher priced than it used to be. actually, i enjoy driving quite a bit. i'd gank the hemi any day.

I know I probably shouldn't comment, but I gotta: "Hey, guys, shut up shut up shut up. But lemme have the last word." Haha, that's debating for you.

Sell the Durango and get your wife another car.....perhaps a Camry or another Solara.

......then you'd be able to keep yours, especially with all the work you put into it.

Go take a look at the stock chart for Halliburton, HAL, over the last five years. Bushco has fixed the gas problem, problem being it wasn't making Dick enough money in his RSU's and stock options. Make special note of our invasion date.

I happen to be independent. But it doesnt take a democrat to see what a nitwit Bush is. I actually voted for Bush the first time around only to rue my decision. I'll never forget that picture of Bush with the prince of Egypt walking hand and hand in the rose garden. I see it every time i have to spend my hard earned money on gas and heating oil. And by the way...not everyone drives for enjoyment. Some people are now having to make the decision about whether to buy clothes that fit for their children or put gas in the tank so they can get to work.
Yes...in europe gas has been high priced for years now, but their mass transit systems are light years ahead of ours AND they dont have to pay for health care. Wake up!! I know hes my president but hes also a liar and a cheat and a heartless bastard. He'd rather go bike riding with Lance Armstrong than meet the mother of one of our fallen heros who died in Iraq to line the pockets of his partner in crime Dick Cheney. A man who even though he denies any ties to halleburton stands to make millions when he cashes in all his stock options. We should be pulling back all of our soldiers and guardsmen from Iraq so we can help our own citizens right here in the wake of the hurricane disaster.
Look i didnt really want to start some sh*t here, but when you insult me by calling me a loud mouth when all i said was 3 words (bushes gas crisis)
that just pisses me off. If you want to have an intelligent conversation about politics ill meet you anytime in the general forum, but i suggest you do some research on our beloved George Bush and the man who pulls his strings Dick (how apprropriate a name is that?) Cheney.
And one last thing before they move my post...I hope you enjoy paying a higher price for just about anything you need including food because gas went up 30 times the rate of inflation.
Maybe it hasnt affected you yet Mr Republican, but when the Bush mind f*ck they have you under wears off maybe you'll realize that it affects us ALL.

We shouldn't have to change to a smaller or hybrid car just so our President and Vice President can keep lining their pockets with dough...

This should be the American way, help our own in need!!! But, it seems the American way is NOT to help our own, but to show our AUTHORITY in other countries...They may be helping some now, but just think if all those troops were here and helping restore the gulf states?????

Dudes... remember cars?
Keep your naive ramblings elsewhere please.
(And please preface any opinions on military movements with your experience in managing or even existing in a war zone.)
