This site has the low beam (H11) and hi beam (9005).
Does anyone have any reviews on these bulbs?
I spoke to customer service about them and he said these bulbs are brighter than the stock bulbs and are brighter than the Nokya because it is not as blue.

Did anyone change there front yellow turn signal lights?
Is that something that can be easily installed as the headlights?

I have, it's not that hard... search in the forums, one of the members (TS04, maybe?) has a tutorial on how to change the turn signal lights.

I have heard of them. They were all the rage on the scionlife.com forums when I used to have an xA. Most people tend to rave about them. I have never tried them for two reasons:
1) I am not a big fan of hyper white, as they tend to be bluish and
2) These luminics bulbs were not street legal when I last checked. Don't know if this is still the case.

And they are not brighter than stock, nothing is brighter than stock except HIDs of course.
I say that if you get them, buy them off their website, other wise check out http://www.scionlife.com/forums and search luminics (the search bar is really small on the top left), you will find a crap load of info on them.

After reading reviews from scion life, the people there are having problems with the harness melting. Is it because there low beam wattage is suppose to be 51 watts in which the bulbs are made to be 55 watts?
I don't think I'm going to take a chance since on one here has used them.

What do you guys recommend for aftermarket halogen bulbs?
I want something really bright and just a little bit of blue tint.
I don't want to lose any more lighting than the stock bulbs.

Check this thread for wattage issues from DocJohn

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=11064

more specifically,

http://www.angelfire.com/ky3/gabby/bulb_test.htm

which has information regarding the theoretical max wattage the harness can handle.

Now, for pics of the bulbs he did the tests on (Nokya Arctic White Stage II, sorry, I hadn't taken any pics before I removed mine, these are DocJohn's)

Nice research

Postby geminiz » Tue Sep 06, 2005 7:36 pm

Thanks for finding me the benchmarks by John.

Since the wattage for low beam is 55 watts, the Nokya is 80 watts... with the benchmarks by John stating that the harness should be able to handle the wattage.... shouldn't the Luminics bulbs be fine since they are only 55 watts?

Good point. They should be okay, I guess.
I am actually condsidering getting some xenomatch plus (these are actually white, not bluish) bulbs from hoen. I was thinking of using the H11's they have under foglights since those run at 55W. I would also get the H10's under foglights.

confused?

Postby geminiz » Wed Sep 07, 2005 9:52 am

I thought the Xenonmatch Plus bulbs are 80 watts.

Why are the Luminics hyper white bulbs street illegal?

kgzero1, where did you get the front console part for your aftermarket stereo system?
Was the factory stereo easy to take out? Can you please tell me how you got the whole factory stereo out?

The xenomatch plus do run at 80 watts, but I looked under fog lights and those xenomatch plus bulbs run at lower wattages. I just don't know if I should just go for the higher ones. I just don't really want to change the harness.

They Luminics bulbs are not Dot approved, therefore, illegal.

If you mean the dash kit, I got here: http://store.yahoo.com/mobile-emotions/20tosodainki.html
I got free install with the head unit I got so I let them do it, but I installed the xm receiver and adapter myself.
I should have the instructions for this at home in a pdf file. I will pm you with it later tonight.

Quick question, for those connectors sold by Hoen, how exactly do you install them?
Would I have to cut the wires going to the headlights, and then solder on the connector or is it just plug and play?
