Invinca-Shield?

Invinca-Shield?

Has anyone used, seen, or heard of Invinca-Shield? It's a clear applique that protects your hood from bugs, chips, etc. It sounds lame, but the reports I've heard from other sites is that it looks great and works well. "Invisible Yet Invincible" is their marketing blurb.

Here's a link to the setup for the Solara.

I've seen some Solara users complain about how easily the hood will chip. Maybe it's been addressed in Gen 2, but I'm looking for options to protect my car.

Any other comments about shields or bras welcome.

Just looks like someone is doing precut clearbra.. My guess is that someone has copied venture or 3m at the most or just custom cuts 3m since they seem to be a 3m dealer anyway. 3m is good but has waves in the clearbra with a little memory not to much, venture has a huge amount of memory and is like glass but used to yellow. Have not tried it lately but they said they redid the glue. Who knows...

The prices are not to bad but precuts tend to be crappy anyway so you get what you pay for. Find a tint place and request 3m and look at how they cut it on the car. Also make sure they are not dumbasses and cutting into your paint. Be suprised how many retards cut down into the paint on your car..

A friend of mine has it on his Tahoe. I don't know which brand though. It looked good for a little while, but after a few months you could really see the edge. It stood out from pretty far away. I think that small particles tend to get caked just under the edge of it.

Thats more due to people not putting it down right. Gotta clean the surface really good. I say it was just a ch-ra-ppy installer..
