Is the 06 model body kit option .... out yet ?

they should be the same pieces...im gonna talk to someone i know in the body shop business...maybe get one from a junkyard and repaint it?

You have only two ways to get the kit:

1) Off Ebay (good luck finding it)
2) Convince a dealer's parts dept that you had an accident or something and you need to buy all the parts for the aero kit (of course not mentioning you don't have an SE sport).

Either way, you have to go through the trouble of installing it. Best of luck.

Wait a minute... I must be missing something here. I was chatting with my parts manager here in Portland about the Solara I am waiting for and asked if he could order the ground effects kit for me. His answer was yes. We didn't officially look into it (part #s and pricing). I'll have to give him a call tomorrow and get more info.

My parts guy is a GREAT guy. He gives me (and my Supra friends) 20% off list - and I'm sure I could convince him to do the same for everyone here too.

I'll give him a call and post up info as soon as I know something more.

OK... I have a call out to my parts guy. He was working on his orders for the morning and said he would look these up and get back to me.

He also said that if these are actually available it should be no problem for anyone to order these (even if your "region" isn't supposed to get them).

I hope to have more info for you guys VERY soon.

Just an FYI about my parts guy. In the past he has busted his @$$ for me to get some really cool parts out of Japan. I actually paid no shipping and got 20% off list on those parts while other people were ordering the same thing through other online places and getting hit with huge shipping and no discounts. I now live at least 30 - 40 miles away from his dealership and still make the trek for parts - passing at least 4 other Toyota dealerships along the way.

Actually not far from you - if your location is correct.

I am in Portland Oregon - right near the I-205/I-84 crossing - can see Vancouver WA and the airport from my upstairs office.

What a joke. The parts as a port-installed option for the SLE Convertible cost only $995 complete.

Update: Bob called me back to let me know his network was offline most of the day and he was only able to get basic information so far.

He confirmed something about the parts being available unpainted but swears they must be available painted.

He is also willing to put a package together for us so anyone that wants this kit can get them - even if your local dealer won't sell it to you.

I will update as I know more - if I am doing anything against the rules please let me know. I don't want to step on any toes here.
