Possible S/C for Both gen 1 & 2 V6

Well with the reserch Ive done, new Improved supercharger like ones from Prochargers do indeed require less mantainance. Somewhat holds an easier bolt on setup. Like Procharger, they found ways to lesson needs to having to run oil line into the charger. Its self contained and has more gareentees off it. Not to mention its can easily be replaced too unlike TRD where if you screw up, the parts are more rare. Yes it will cost more then the TRD with more parts to mess with, But the over all update have having it be force into the car with secondary safety is much more efficient to me. Plus from how I see, with these type of supercharger and their set up, it gives the tuner more options to modify their car and tune it to their needs.. Of course you have to understand to do tuning.. I understand that. But the overall tuning task would be easier and maybe cheaper.. Thats the best I can put it in my words for now. Again Im still learning about cars, Im no pro, but Im no 12 year old either.. Best way to learn is to be taught by those who knows.. Searching doesnt always teaches me the real stuff. So do share..

you have to be careful to compare to procharger because most of procharger kit are street legal.

and you think the best way to learn from people who know it? If the life really go this, research papers would bceome totally uncessary assighments, you just have to learn sshitts from your teacher and daddy. well, the fact is that people like me can give you some BS opinion and you will learn some garbage. and some people will only tell you shittts that sounds good to your ear but complete bias.

it is your money and your life.

however, i will give you the last hand of help here. i found this from yahoo search.

Cool beans.. Youve hitted all the spots that I mentioned above. I just mentioned in terms of ways to lesson the issues with different parts. Not too shabby... Happy me.. Yeah I get the BS opinion thing.. Thats why I hear and search on it.. Now just gotta wait and see what the companies can do to make some.. But then again I notice interested arnt high anymore for them... People are beginning to see the cost just for some more Hp. I do myself.

I recently got in the market for a supercharger kit...not knowing they were discontinued...This sounds like the better way to go because damn worrying about heat issues, I want mine intercooled!!!6 psi should be plenty at the right temperature.

Hmmm

I like the Idea, a roots type charger is definitely more reliable, but its parts are way more expensive.

They have used similar setups on a VW VR6, where they netted 100-120WHP, off a centrifugal charger.

Personally, the centrifugal should provide less drag, and its more compact... now, if you tell me Ripp mods is creating one, using a charger that can have the impellers modded.... we in bizzness.

This is one advantage over roots type, some centrifugals, like some turbos can have different impellers in them, to make them react differently to an rpm range, providing most air in a specific area on the rpm range. Ill take a 60 trim if they make it.... Ill boost the fuel and all that other stuff myself...lol

what happened to it

Company who wanted to sponsor the project backed off due to lack of interest and people to pay for the R&D cost.

man, all we need to do is create a mounting bracket that allows the charger to be mounted in the engine bay.

This is the hardest part of it all... but it can be done.

As for boost.... Im willing to look into this, and see what is feasible.

I have a few connections, Ill see what happens.

Dont be like Ebay and just say just create this and thats the hardest part. You got to look at weak points, strong points, and other shits too to incorp to position of a charger. Then you have to R&D a pipe to get the most benefit power out of that induction. Its not that simple. Can be done but not as easy as you think.
