Hey guys/gals? Do you think its worth to get the 15k maintenance work done or not? If not should I get anything else done besides the oil change?

I just did the 10k when i had my TSB done, I thought it was a standard oil change, tire rotation, etc. I ended up paying $100 for some air conditioner filter crap. I hate when you see a bill that is double what you expect it to be, seems like that always happens at dealerships.

I love it when the service manager says "we INSPECT" like 25 things at the 15k check-up. INSPECT? And it costs how much for them to "INSPECT"?? Hey, if I'm gonna pay for something, it better not be for "INSPECTING", it better be for "DOING" something!

Actually I'm glad they "inspect" everything... I just had my 20K done and they found that I had a bad strut on my right front... they are replacing it free under warranty, without question, because there was no apparent evidence of collision damage (even though I do know I hit a really nasty pot hole on that side a while back). I had been complaining of a suspension "chirp" among other issues comming from up there for a while now, and even posted a thread asking if anyone else noticed the TRD spring coils actually touching each other... No other shop (I took it to about 4) was able to find anything, so I just started assuming the TRD springs were at fault... but Toyota found it on their standard inspection...

Also, for those of you with a 2004 and up Solara, if you bought it new, didn't any of you get any free maintenance with the deal? I got 2 years free fluid changes (I recently started upgrading to synthetic, so I just pay the difference), tire checking, balance, rotation, air filters (including cabin), 2 free alignments, etc... I've noticed in other threads people are complaining about similar things (dealers ripping them off on servicing their pretty much brand new Solaras), just seems like more dealers would offer this service considering the competition out there...

I didn't get anything like that either...o well....so I think I'll just get my oil change and tire rotation. I guess I'll get the 30k maintenance doen for sure.

Anyone think I should get it done?

Better safe than sorry. Plus if any issues come up after that you got proof you take care of your car.
