Spoiler

Spoiler

Postby someazn » Sat Jul 09, 2005 9:34 pm

I got my car at Longo Toyota. My car was a SE V6 and it did not come with a rear spoiler. Reason is is that Longo does not install spoilers anymore for the Solara because of some "issues" they were having with the spoiler. I was wondering if other dealers such as Wondries, Claremont, etc would install a spoiler for me. If so, how much would it cost. I heard it was around $200. And would they do a crappy job provided that I did not buy the car from them? Thanks in advance for your response.

No they wont/better not do a job bad job on it. I got my solara from Frontier Toyota and get it serviced at Keyes. They've done a good job on TSBs thus far on my car...besides I think the dealer would be eager [haha kinda rhymes] to sell and install that spoiler for you so they can make some $$

I think the Solara looks good without that spoiler/lip thing.

I agree with you on that. Even the gen 1/1.5 are not so great without it.

I think this is a matter of personal preference and there's no wrong or right answer.
Personally, I think the factory spoiler looks like a stick-on after-thought. The trunk has enough of a lip already to give the rear a nice finish line on its own.

That spoiler on the black car breaks up the nice lines of the car too much IMO. Probably looks better from the back then from the side.

Its ok, but I like the simple understated spoiler. But hey its a car thing and everyone has to do what they like to their cars.

Aren't those two different. The one on the white looks like it is not as wide as the one on the black one. The black one looks like it goes past the lines made by the trunk, the white one doens't.

possibly, i was thinkin it's either angle or placement, also on the white there is no lip spoiler, on the black one they left the lip spoiler on...
