It should, depending on how bad it is. I used it on scratches on my gen 1 and it did a pretty good job. Good luck.

Scratch-X may not remove but it will likely reduce the scratch(s).

depends on how deep. Try this..

use your nail and go over the scratch. If your nail "falls" into the groove of the scratch or you feel a "burr" then its too deep. If you can't feel the scratch, then its most likely will come out.

if its deep, several applications and use wax afterwords on the spot, I'm sure it will look ALOT better.

keyed!

Postby someazn » Tue Jul 19, 2005 9:14 pm

so i took my mom out the other day to do some grocery shopping at 99 ranch market. after we finished shopping, we arrived at my car and we noticed there was a tiny (about two inch long), deep scratch on the front quarter panel (passenger side). Someone friggin keyed my car! So after we got home, I used some of that Meguairs Scratch X on the infected area and most of it went away. It seemed to me that whoever keyed my car angled his/her key in a way that it made a wide, but not so deep scratch. However, although most of it went away, you can still see that the colors dont match. Where the scratch is, the paint looks dull, while the rest of the car looks all glossy. I was wondering, since he/she didnt take off any of the paint (hopefully), do you guys think that he/she only took off the wax? Would this problem be fixed if i re-waxed the infected area? thanks in advance for your response(s).

o one more thing...a little off topic, but would it be possible to order the front part of the body kit on the se sport from a authorized toyota dealer? I have a SE V6 and I want to install the front body kit from the se sport. Dont really like the rear and side body kit; that's why i didnt go for the sport.

The clear coat was taken off by the key. Waxing the area will do nothing to restore the gloss the clear gave.
