If you get the CP-E MAFci with the tunable chip, you can do this. They are introducing their 3.5" intake about the end of August. One version (the one I am getting) has a pre-tuned chip with no custom tuning, and another has a pre-tuned chip with tuning available. Get the second one...

See www.cp-e.com

They are nice folks and just up the road from me.

I dont recommend chips unless you start getting nutty with your car.

once you deal with an additional electronic device, there is no telling what may happen.

There is a product out there besides the CP-e pipe and box. While CP-e can control the voltage sent from the MAF sensor, the Camcon box can also make adjustments to the VVT-i.

This mod is not for the plug and play crowd. I'd count on a hour or two of dyno tuning time. Powerenterprises got 14 more Hp out of a Celica. I have no idea how much potential there is with the 3.3L V-6.

I'd free up your intake and exhaust first then look to these kinds of solutions.

Here is my original post on this:

Once you touch that car, Youll always be re-tunning and re-tuning it because it wont ever run right again. Even if you try to run stock again it wont run right.. :(

Isn't that the truth!

They claim that if youturn off the box, the factory ECU programming goes back into effect. (See their instruction manual attached to the website.)

There's no doubt that you can screw things up quickly if you don't know what you're doing. There's no "undo" button after you lean out the engine.

So true.. Ives tried running bone stock again but no matter how hard Ive tried, the car doesnt run the same... Even a K&N drop in can effect the car... Like right now I wish my car was bone stock...I dont remember when was the last time I pulled into my parkway backward..My cars so low and the engines pinging lightly due to useage...

The CP-e solution doesn't touch the stock chip. It goes inline before and after the chip and modifies the signal going to and coming from the chip and relies on the stock chip remaining stock.
