wait so a k&n drop-in = injen intake? Then why drop $200+ on an Injen when you can have the same results for $40 or so? Just so its a diff sound? I'll take that extra $160 and invest in some TRD springs..

That's the way I see it but it looks like this weekend Phreak and I will find out for sure w/ dyno results. Found a shop with a deal. Stay tuned and don't take that as gospel truth 'til we have proof.
And yes... for many the sound alone is worth $200. (I'm not one of them, I want pull.)

If the only thing that mattered was the size of the piping that would be true. However the temperature of the air means just as much, if not more, so I can promise you that you will not find the two to be equal.

unless you're not talking about CAI and just the short ram. Even so, i doubt you'll find them to be the same.

I think what we're experiencing here is the placebo effect. Replacing the stock air filter with a K&N should have no efect on the lag issue, since that's an ECM programming problem.

My two cents worth . . .
