How wide in inches are 205/40/17 tires? Trying to figure out tire sizes and not having a good go with it. I want wide tires, well, wider than stock anyways, but without seeing it in person, it is hard to tell what you are getting. These tires should fit on a 17x7 in rim, but I am thinking that the tire will actually be a little wider, like 8 inches or so.

Anyone know?

Thanks

Check out tirerack.com.

Look up tires by size then click on the specifications tab for which brand you're interested in. It will give you diameter, circumference, sectional width and tread width. Good info.

Gimme time on the supercharger. LOL

I wish Vortech would make a shaft propelled one similar to the one used for the tC. (Mount the drive pulley on the pass side and supercharger in the area where the battery currently is. Drive the supercharger by a shaft that goes cross car above the exhaust manifold. Relocate the battery to the trunk.)

It could be done, but at huge expense.
